Pheromone for Men Cologne
Classic fragrances are timeless mysteries that reflect the thought, taste, and imagination of their creators. They are also the ultimate examples of an art-form developed after centuries of experimentation with various plant materials. For example, PHEROMONE FOR MEN, the most powerful attractant known, is a balanced blend of rare and expensive essences derived from herbs, wild grasses, exotic bark, seeds and wine resins.
Of over 100 natural essences used to create this masterpiece fragrance, Olibanum, also known as Frankincense, is the costliest. "The trees from which Olibanum is extracted grow wild on the Somali coast without soil, out of polished marble rocks," explains creator Marilyn Miglin. "The extraction process is expensive and time-consuming. To obtain it, a deep, longitudinal incision is made in the trunk before the bark is peeled. When the milky-juice from the tree has hardened to exposure from the air, the incision is then again deepened. It takes three months for the resin to attain the desired degree of consistency required."
"Tonka extract comes from a rare tree which grows only in Venezuela. The tiny dried seeds are first soaked in rum before they are ready for extrusion." Cherished for its uplifting effects on tension and anxiety, Bergamot Oil comes from small round fruits along the Ivory Coast through cold pressing of the ripened peel." The Sandalwood tree requires 15-20 years of maturity before its erotic essential oil can be extracted and then must be harvested only during the rainy season when its roots are richer in oil.
Another factor adding to the cost of fragrance is the method used to extract the oil from the flowers and herbs. The finest, but most expensive way, is known as "enfleurage." In this time-consuming process, petals and plants are pressed into wax, which slowly absorb the oils. This process is repeated daily, until the wax is saturated with oil, protecting delicate oils that would otherwise be affected by heat.
Certain essences are extracted by distillation. Ingredients must be harvested at just the right moment, placed into vats and steamed to separate the oils from their original origins. Experts oversee the process to assure the correct temperature: if the steam is too hot it can alter the oils; if too cool, the batch is ruined.
